Is This Safe For A 15 Year Old?

November 10th, 2009

My friend is 15, 5′5 and weighs 138 pounds..she feels she is overweight and wants to figure out a way to lose weight along with her diet and exercise. I was wondering if Acai Berry Power 500 would work? I read everything and even Oprah said it works well, but would it be safe for a 15 year old to take? Just wondering, for my Friend’s sake.

tell your friend she doesn’t need to lose weight. i’m 5′5 and i would give my left arm to weigh 138 pounds again! now if she just wants to lose a little weight that’s possible with just eating healthy and working out like 3 or 4 times a week. tell her to do it the healthy way.

I dont see any bad effects that could come of it. Acai Berry is very rich in antioxidants and nutrients, though at the age of 15 one should be doing all in their power to function without the use of special supplements. I say eat properly and exercise often.
Eat lots of veggies, fruits and grains. Stay away from wheat though. the best grains are brown rice, wild grain rice, quinoa and amaranth. Get the refined sugars, sweeteners and soda pop out of your diet. If you need a sweetener use honey or raw sugar. Drink lots of water and do tons of cardio at high intensity. The longer the better. It takes 30 minutes at your targeted heart rate to burn one fat cell. So keep after it and dont fall into cravings. That is your body tricking you to keep the fat cells alive.
Muscle also burns fat. So lifting weights is not a bad idea either. Low weight and lots of reps will increase endurance and metabolism.
    Good luck!

yea acai is VERY healthy besides making you loose weight
this is the best 1 to try
    “Visit AcaiBerryMaxx.com Acai Berry Maxx
This product is, hands down, the best acai berry product that we have tested. It was recommended by Dr Perricone on Fox News during his segment on Superfoods. This product was the most effective one we have tested mostly due to the fact that it contains green tea extract which means its effects are doubled.
All of the people who tested the product reported a lift in their overall energy levels only 3 days after they started taking it. Everyone also report their appetit has decreased and they were eating less and after only 7 days everyone lost a large amount of weight. As you can see these are the desired results and they met & exceeded our expectations.”
    get facts about acai herehttp://www.acaiberryjuice.org/
but i think she should consult with her doctor before loosing weight

okay just so you now i am what is determined to be be over Weight . and what is funny to me is how any one under 150 pounds and taller than 5′3 can call them selves fat. thats actually the ideal wieght for that hieght.and at those sizes i guess you feel fat after you eat a big meal. but personally i think your friend doesn’t need to diet. but if she wants to maintain here figure work out regularly and try and eat healthy . at that size moderate exercise and healthy eating habits is all you need to maintain or even lose Weight. no need for extra help from cleansers , diets pills, or extreme diets. i guess its a teen thing over exaggerating on your flaws or what u think yor body should look like, we should learn to be more appreciative of how we look becuz at 5′5 138 shes well off and dont have nothing to worry about but yeah but im sure she will do what she wants any way , but my question is what her goal wiegt.

Acai berries are a relatively newly discovered berry that has some healthy characteristics. The acai berry is really high in anti-oxidants and really helps people loose weight . There are lots of health advantages to acai berries, but they must be frozen right after harvest to make sure they retain thier potency. One of the major brands of acai suppleiments is vital acai. Lately, many talk show hosts have done profiles on the health benefits of acai. http://www.americaschoicetoday.com/Acai-Berry.html

First off tell your friend, not to worry. I also had a friend you at that age was around there but as she got older she got slimmer. Let your friend know that we are girls and we go through so many changes that worrying about it is just going to cause more. HAHAHAHA!!!!!! Anyways if she does want to lose weight i don’t think it is safe for her to use that just tell her to run at least a mile a day, do crunches, side crunches, and have a strict diet but not so strict… SHE WILL BE FINE!!!! I also want to thank you for caring for your friend so much that really shows that she means a lot to you…. YOU A TRUE FRIEND!!!!!!! She’s young weight shouldn’t be a concern for her…..

Many many many people still believe in the myth that there is some miracle diet that will make you lose weight effectively. WRONG!
I know this is really blunt, but the best way to lose weight is to just exercise. you don’t lose weight by nurturing your body less, you go out and burn that food you ate. Dieting has so many negative effects on your body it’s just not worth it.

people mistake alot of natural diets as you can take as much as you want and its not a big deal. you have to do exactly what it says or you could get hurt. most so called “diet pills or supplements” don’t really work.
your friend should talk to a doctor if she really wants to lose weight. they can help her be safe.

You need to tell your friend that she is not over weight at all.
But if she really wants to lose weight, help her through it.
Maybe you both can join a gym or do some moves together so
she doesn’t feel the pressure of being alone.
PS- I’m 15, 5′5” and I weigh around 130, and I am not fat by any means at all.

its safe- its pretty healthy, but it wont make your friend lose weight- believe me, i’ve tried ‘em all. they dont work. if she wants to lose weight she should just cut back on the amount of food she’s eating and work out more- just eat like 5 really small meals of about 1100-1200 calories a day instead of 3 huge meals a day… and go running!

I’m really not sure. She sounds very healthy though because 5′5 is tall for a 13 year old. Also the weight range for that height is about 120 - 150 so she is not overweight. Also she’s only 15 which means that she is still growing. I would advise that she not diet and enjoy her youth! Good luck though..

im 5′8 and at 138 pounds. i dont think she is overweight enough to be wanting to take any kinds of diet pills and probably too young. im 19 and wouldnt take them. i say to just at least exercise regularly. get out there and have fun, play sports, go biking, hiking, anything to get your body moving! :)

I would suggest extreme acai berry, I have been taking it and from the inside out of have an all around better feeling about myself. No she shouldn’t be taking it, but if she decideds, it is way better then other diet pills out there.

Acai is wonder full, but don’t get everything Oprah endorses, she will sell her soul if its a good paycheck.
but in my opinion taking diet pills at 15 is not safe, you are still growing, excercise is better

  15. November 12th, 2009 at 08:53 | #15

It would be safe but tell her not to over do it. She is not overweight. She is a great size. If she wants to do it to make herself feel better then go ahead but just dont over do it.

Just please, please stop saying it’s for your “friend”.
“your lucky! im 5′5 and weigh 138..i wish i could get to 115..im trying hard..good luck with your weight loss but personally, i’d love to be where you are”
    Seriously.

yah its safe for that age or even younger but, its not really a weight loss product. It does all kinds of amazing things but it wont shed the fat. Sorry to break the news.

It might be safe, but a more natural approach would be better, exercise and lower calories.

first of all your friend isn’t overweight.
but if she wants to lose just a few pounds, i agree with the person before about exercising daily, and not drinking pop or eating junk food.

Any weight loss supplement including minor things like slim fast say do not use without doctor consent if you are under 18.

Tell her to see her doctor.
Some might not approve b/c of her age or how its going to react with her body.
